1. Group Trip Senegal – January 2026

Purpose:

An accessible and inspiring group journey for people who:

  • want to travel together in a safe and warm setting;

  • want to discover Senegal with local guidance;

  • want to enjoy nature, culture, music and authenticity – without the full coaching program of the retreat.

10-Day Program Overview

Day 1 – Arrival in Abene
Welcome to the heart of Casamance! Upon arrival, you’ll settle into Auberge Abene Bolong. In the evening we’ll open the journey with a welcome dinner and live music.

Day 2 – Connected with the Village
A morning walk through Abene, a visit to the sacred Batangworoo tree and a cooking experience with the women of the village.
Overnight: Auberge Abene Bolong.

Day 3 – Along the Coastline
Beach walk from Abene to the fishing village of Kafountine, visit the colorful fish market and see the fishermen at work.
Overnight: Auberge Abene Bolong.

Day 4 – From River to City
Boat trip to Boune Island and onward travel to Ziguinchor, the lively capital of Casamance.
Overnight: Hotel Le Perroquet.

Day 5 – Art, Culture and a Royal Encounter
Visit the local crafts market and the Afro Alliance Franco Senegal art center, then travel to Oussouye for a meeting with the King of Oussouye.
Overnight: Campement Aljowe.

Day 6 – Nature and Adventure
Excursion to Djeromait and Casa Mulomp (with the option to climb the famous 25-meter-high tree!) and later travel to Point Saint George.
Overnight: Le Mantine.

Day 7 – Carabane Island
Boat trip to the historic island of Carabane, with a chance to spot dolphins along the way.
Overnight: Campement Helena.

Day 8 – Efrang Islands & Return to Abene
Boat trip through the lagoons and magical Efrang Islands, followed by a free afternoon in Abene.
Overnight: Auberge Abene Bolong.

Day 9 – Celebration & Farewell Evening
A festive evening with music, dance and African energy to celebrate the journey together.
Overnight: Auberge Abene Bolong.

Day 10 – Departure
After a final breakfast, we consciously say goodbye. Extra nights can be booked on request.
End of the journey.

2. 7-Day group journey – South Senegal

This 7-day group journey is a compact and accessible way to experience South Senegal, with Abene as the heart of the journey.

Ideal for travelers who:

  • have limited time

  • are visiting West Africa for the first time

  • want to travel consciously in a small group

During this week, you stay in small-scale, locally rooted places and get to know daily life, nature and the culture of Casamance. There is space for shared experiences as well as personal moments.

A meaningful journey in which you slow down, connect and truly arrive — without rushing.
