Sunrise Senegal Retreats

These terms and conditions apply to all retreats and activities organized by Sunrise Senegal.

Article 1 – Definitions

  1. Sunrise Senegal is a trade name of Maureen van de Lustgraaf, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 09164812.

  2. Agreement: the agreement that is established when the participant registers and Sunrise Senegal confirms participation.

  3. Participant: the individual who registers for a retreat organized by Sunrise Senegal.

Article 2 – Registration and Confirmation

  1. Registration takes place via email or through an online registration form.

  2. After receiving the completed form, the participant will receive confirmation by email, along with an invoice.

  3. Registration is binding, personal, and processed in order of receipt.

  4. In the case of group registrations, each participant must complete a separate form.

Article 3 – Formation of Agreement

  1. The agreement is concluded once Sunrise Senegal confirms the registration in writing.

  2. Anyone registering on behalf of others is jointly and severally liable for all participants registered.

  3. Registrations for minors are only valid with written consent from a legal guardian.

Article 4 – Payment

  1. After registration, the participant will receive an invoice.

  2. A 50% deposit of the total fee is required upon registration.

  3. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 6 weeks before the start of the retreat.

  4. If registration takes place within 14 days before the start of the retreat, full payment is due immediately.

  5. Failure to pay on time entitles Sunrise Senegal to unilaterally cancel the participant's registration without refund of any amount already paid.

  6. All legal and extrajudicial collection costs incurred due to late payment will be charged to the participant.

Article 5 – Changes and Cancellation by Sunrise Senegal

  1. Sunrise Senegal reserves the right to cancel a retreat if the minimum number of 3 participants is not met, no later than 5 days before the scheduled start date.

  2. In case of force majeure (see Article 8) or other unforeseen circumstances, the program may be modified or replaced.

  3. If the participant does not accept the alternative date or program, a maximum of 60% of the paid amount will be refunded.

Article 6 – Liability

  1. Participation in the retreat is entirely at the participant’s own risk.

  2. Sunrise Senegal is not liable for any damage (direct or indirect), loss, personal injury, or theft, unless there is intent or gross negligence.

  3. Any liability is limited to the amount paid by the participant.

  4. Participants are responsible for assessing their own physical and mental fitness to join the retreat.

Article 7 – Participant Responsibilities

  1. Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and responsibly during the retreat.

  2. In the event of misconduct or disturbance, Sunrise Senegal reserves the right to exclude the participant without refund. Any additional costs incurred will be charged to the participant.

Article 8 – Cancellation by Participant and Substitution

  1. Cancellation must be made in writing, either by registered letter or by email with confirmation of receipt.

  2. The following cancellation fees apply:

    • Up to 4 weeks before the retreat: 25% of the total fee

    • Between 4 weeks and 14 days before the retreat: 50% of the total fee

    • Within 14 days before the retreat: 100% of the total fee

  3. Participants may be replaced by another person, provided that:

    • Sunrise Senegal gives prior written approval;

    • The replacement is communicated no later than 14 days before the retreat.

  4. If Sunrise Senegal must cancel the retreat due to force majeure (e.g., natural disaster, illness, political unrest), the full amount paid will be refunded. Sunrise Senegal cannot be held liable for any additional costs, such as flights or visa expenses.

Article 9 – Prices

  1. The prices stated at the time of registration apply.

  2. Prices include accommodation, guidance, meals, and program elements, unless stated otherwise.

  3. Sunrise Senegal reserves the right to adjust prices in the event of force majeure or significant market changes.

Article 10 – Right of Withdrawal

  1. If the participant is a consumer who books remotely (via email or online), a statutory 14-day cooling-off period applies, unless the retreat starts within this period.

  2. If the right of withdrawal is exercised before the start of the retreat, the participant is entitled to a full refund.

Article 11 – Privacy

  1. Sunrise Senegal processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

By submitting the registration form, the participant confirms having read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
