Sunrise Reflections: From the soil of your heart, something beautiful always grows

About seeds, longing, and what is waiting to bloom within you

Your heart, too, is full of seeds. Possibilities that can begin to grow when they are given water and light. But what if, at this point in your life, you are longing for something new:
A different job
A different path in life
A new relationship...
A new beginning.

So you begin to search. You search and search and search. In conversations, in books, in the advice of others, in signs, in reassurance. But the more you search, the clearer it sometimes becomes: no one else has the answer for you.

And there you are. With yourself. Now what?

It may feel frustrating. Quiet, too.

Because if the answer is not outside of you… where is it?
Could this be the moment you are being invited to turn inward?

Perhaps by now you already know that forcing things does not work. That you do not need to push, but can learn to sail. Not pulling at life, not working harder and harder to make something happen, but sensing where the current is moving.

And if you are sitting with yourself anyway, why not truly stay there for a moment?

Why not look at what is alive within you? What is your heart trying to tell you?

From the soil of your heart, something beautiful can grow

Because from the soil of your heart, something beautiful always grows.

Your heart, too, is full of seeds.
Seeds of possibility.
Of longing.
Of talent.
Of a life that wants to be lived in your own way.

Everything within you wants to be seen. But as with everything in nature, the same is true here: something can only grow when it receives water, light, and the space to exist.

Perhaps you have spent so long trying to live up to what was expected of you that you forgot to look at what has been waiting inside you all this time.
Who are you, really?
What are you good at?
Or perhaps even more beautifully: what truly brings you joy?

It is a question I often ask my clients.
And usually, that is when it becomes quiet.

Not because there is nothing there.
But because that question brings you inward straight away. To a place beneath the surface. A place where the quick answer does not live, but where the real truth does.

That moment of stillness is often a very beautiful one.
Because that is where something begins.
Not outside of you.
But within you.

Many years ago, there was a song with the words:
“There is a little garden in your heart, only for you.”

What a beautiful line that is.
A little garden in your heart.
Only for you.

Not for the expectations of the world.
Not for how things are supposed to be.
Not for what others need you to be.
But for you. For your soul. For what truly belongs to you deep within.

Perhaps that little garden has gone without water for a long time.
Perhaps very little light has reached it.
Perhaps all kinds of things have been sleeping beneath the soil.
How could it grow like that?

And yet…
the fact that it has been quiet does not mean it is gone.
The fact that you have not seen it does not mean it is not there.

Perhaps this is the moment to stop searching outside yourself
and remember that you have not lost anything.

What truly belongs to you was never really gone.
You have carried it with you all along.
Deep within.
Like a seed beneath the ground.

Perhaps now is the time to go to the little garden in your heart.
To be still there.
To feel there.
To reconnect there with what is alive within you.

And then, gently ask:
what does this need?
Water?
Light?
Space?
New soil?

Because perhaps that says more about who you are and what you are here to do than everything you have been searching for outside yourself until now.

In the busyness of school, graduating, working, carrying on, caring for others, adapting, and trying to meet expectations, you can sometimes drift far away from your own core. Not because it disappeared, but because life was loud and your inner world was soft.

Until now.

Perhaps this is the time not to keep searching as if something is missing, but to listen to what wants to awaken within you.
To be present.
To become still.
To make space for what is already there.

Because everything that truly belongs to you already carries life within it.
Sometimes it simply needs to be seen.

And perhaps then you will discover that something beautiful has been living within you all along.
Ready to grow.
Ready to bloom.
Ready to bring you back to yourself.

So give yourself the gift of silence regularly, and listen.

From the soil of your heart, something beautiful always grows.

Need guidance?

Do you feel touched by this theme, and do you sense a need for guidance?
If so, you are warmly welcome in the Netherlands for a one-to-one session with me.

Together, in a calm and gentle space, we look at what is alive within you, what is asking for attention, and which direction wants to unfold from within.

Sometimes one conversation is enough to bring clarity, help you reconnect with yourself, and discover what within you is ready to grow.

There is also space for this kind of guidance during our retreats — with care, depth, and a nurturing setting in which what is alive within you can truly be seen.

You are always welcome to send me a message if you feel I may be able to support you in this.
